As it gets ready to launch a new operating system, Microsoft confirmed Wednesday that it is getting ready to release a free anti-virus service later this year.
The new service is currently code-named Morro, apparently after the Morro de Sao Paolo beach area in Brazil. Observers are expecting the free service to compete directly with McAfee and Symantec, two of the leading companies in this field.

2009 Rothbury Music Festival wasn’t supposed to happen. With the unfortunate closing of the Double JJ Ranch, the festival looked like it was history. But the promoters worked things out with the Double JJ and the Rothbury is now 2 years old.
This year’s festival caught me by surprise. Maybe next year (if there will be a Festival next year!) I’ll be more prepared to head up north. My 11 year old son wants to go. My wife says NO WAY! Well you can’t win them all!
